The challenge
Create a welcoming, sophisticated interior for the customer, while streamlining the back and front of house areas to create an efficient, easily managed and pleasant working environment for staff.
The answer
Furniture in American walnut timber contrasts with equipment and trim in brushed stainless steel, creating a mood of relaxed elegance. The main furniture pieces set the tone while complementary lighting can be dimmed in some areas to enhance the air of understated intimacy. High-level lighting in the display areas, meanwhile, helps to show the cafe’s food at its most tempting. Having observed in-house the processes of preparing and serving food, Linedota planned layouts that enabled the cafe’s owners to optimise levels of staffing and increase turnover at peak times. The format has now been rolled out across London.
